(Wenn du an generellen Tipps zum Skypen interessiert bist, schau doch mal hier)

 

Ein Skype Gespräch lebt von Fragen genauso wie man dadurch das Gefühl bekommt, ob es eben passt, oder nicht :D

 

Meine Basic Fragen, die ich als erstes stelle:

 

  1. When do I have to be available?
    (Eigentlich steht das ja im Profil, aber aus eigenen Erfahrungen sprechend, für die Familien doch nicht immer klar)

  2. What does a typical schedule look like?

  3. How do the kids get along with eachother?
  4. Do they have planned activities?(Instrumente, Sport)
  5. How do you raise your kids?(strict, locker)
  6. Are there any rules for me?

 

Generell würd ich sagen gilt, vor allem beim 1. Gespräch, dass man erstmal richtig viel zu den Kids fragen sollte und nicht, was man als Au Pair alles bekommt...

 

Fragen zu den Kids:

  1. Could you describe the childrens character?
  2. Do they have allergies/illnesses?
  3. Do they adapt easily to the au pair?
  4. Do they go to the kindergarten or preschool/ which grade?
  5. Do they have playdates?
  6. What can you do with the kids in your area?
  7. What do they in the summer holidays?
  8. Am I in charge when you are gone?/ Can I use consequences to discipiline them?
  9. What do they enjoy doing?

 

generelle Fragen:

  1. Would you take your time to show me everything in the first days?
  2. What is your relationship to your current au pair like? Would you like it to be different?
  3. What do you expect from an au pair?
  4. What does a typical weekend look like?
  5. Do you have pets? Who is responsible for them?
  6. Do you have contact to your relatives?
  7. How do you celebrate christmas?
  8. How many au pairs did you have?
  9. Are you religious/ Do you go to church often?
  10. Do I have a curfew?
  11. Are there cameras around the house?
  12. Would you take me with you on vacation?
  13. Am I responsible for doing the grocery shopping?
  14. Can I invite friends/have sleepovers?
  15. Do I have my own car?/Can I use it besides work?
  16. Do you have any future plans for the year?
  17. How do you handle extra hours?

 

Fragen ans alte Au Pair:

  1. Do the kids throw tantrums?
  2. What is your relationship to the parents like?
  3. Do the parents back you up?
  4. Are you able to talk to your parents about problems?
  5. Is there a possibility to join the gym nearby?
  6. How is your LCC?
  7. What was the biggest problem with your parents/kids?

  1. Describe yourself.
  2. What makes you stand out compared to other au pairs?
  3. What qualities do you think an au pair must have?
  4. Why did you decide to become an au pair?
  5. What do you look for in a hostfamily?
